I live in a medieval burgh, my walls are 50 cm of stone, in the fortified part of town facing away from the repeaters 20 Km from my location. As for the LEDs, they are one of the reasons I purchased this antenna. They are indispensable for setup. Furthermore, seeing the interferometer is built in the antenna one can be sure that the two are matched. Having to use a third party meter to measure field strength is a pain in the neck at best, unreliable at worst.
