The Background
The Hochrhein Hospital in Germany is a large healthcare campus comprising six buildings and employing 750 staff members. The Challenge
Most patients at the Hochrhein Hospital undergo treatments that require prolonged stays. In such circumstances, staying connected with family and friends through phone calls and mobile apps is crucially important. Being able to make calls from anywhere in the hospital, as well as stream videos on YouTube or Netflix, plays a positive role in patient recovery.
Prior to the installation of the repeater system, mobile signal inside the hospital was very poor. Some areas had no mobile coverage at all, causing frustration among patients and visitors. The objective

The Solution
Multiple directional Yagi antennas were installed on the rooftop to capture the strongest possible signal from nearby cell towers.The amplified mobile signal was then distributed around the building via 74 internal omni antennas to ensure strong mobile signal in all parts of the hospital.
