The installation company Falcon Mobile installed the StellaMarine repeater kit in the Ocean Grand above. The ship was moored in Singapore at the time of the installation and regularly travels around the Singapore/ Johor strait. It’s route can be viewed here. It usually stayed within a 40KM distance from the mainland and therefore within reach of mobile towers on the land. The Stellamarine repeater solution was ideal in this circumstance, receiving the mobile signals with a powerful antenna up high on the ship. The system then amplified these signals throughout the many public areas within the ship. The kit is shown below and consisted of:
- 1 StellaMarineX4 triband repeater(900Mhz, 1800Mhz and 2100Mhz)
- 3 StellaLineAmpsX4 (triband)
- 18 indoor antennas
